Weeeell, you are the one with this Brigadier/MBE fixation.

No fixation here, and quoting a man and his credentials from history has nothing to do with age.....

Unless you are about 8 years old, that is...????

Immigrant Indian Priti Patel deporting Afghans to Rawanda is pure Monty Python, without the laughs. I'd rather have an Afghani living next door to me than that cow!

Patel has a job in the UK government, she has that job because she was deemed qualified for it, regardless of her roots.

Now, anyone stating what you have just stated does sound racist to me.

The UK has many nationalities, all doing different jobs, we do not segregate or demonise because of folks roots.....

Please remember that..... ????

Is that true?

Sadiq Khan says he has received at least 233,000 "explicitly racist or racialised social media messages" since being elected mayor of London in 2016.

No, I do not agree with Enoch Powell’s views.

The basis of restrictions he wanted was race, he was a racist, why would I agree with a racist?

A wild assumption, you have been brainwashed somewhere along the line that those who want to take care of immigration are racist. Answer a couple of questions.

1. Brigadier Enoch Powell MBE was 100% right in his thoughts, I agree with him 100%, tell me then, as I live in Asia with an Asian wife and family, am I a racist...?

2. What immigration laws were introduced by Brigadier Enoch Powell MBE thoughts, advice..?

You claim he's right without a supporting argument. You claim he had to pass laws to be a racist. Just a waste of time.

Yes, those with sense and vision.....????

Yes, his own party. He never was in a psoition to pass laws because of his racism. Too much even for the Tories.

Mr Heath last night dismissed Mr Enoch Powell from the Shadow Cabinet. It became clear that the members of Mr Heath's Shadow Cabinet were unanimous that Mr Powell would have to go. Several Front Bench members let it be known that they would resign if Mr Powell remained.

His perceived performance by tories is irrelevant. Your claim that the UK isn't racist towards its public figures is not true.

You have missed out he was right, we now have major immigration problems, even towns have become foreign enclaves, and dare I mention the low-life from the EU that have bolstered the UK prison population, which thankfully will now burn itself out.....

One thing I have learned from this thread is, some here don't know what a racist is, the word is being used as a get out card, and is very naughty. ????

Whether or not you are a racist is irrelevant to the topic of discussion, and calling you a racist would be in clear breach of  the Forum’s rules - I have repeatedly stated I draw the line at calling other forum members racists.

So you solicit an irrelevant answer that may me precluded by the forum rules - I’m no dumb enough to walk into such an obvious trap.

The topic of discussion is not ‘laws enacted as a result of Enoch Powell’s racist views’, your question is an obvious strawman, feel free to play such games by yourself.

So again no answer to two simple questions, but that's OK..????

I asked a black lesbian activist in the 80's how she defined racism (they almost never can) she said- it's what ever we say it is!

Like transphobia and it's mate islamophobia these are just words to stop and demonise anyone being critical or even talking about the facts of immigration and Islam and what effects these have had on the UK.

Powell drastically underestimated how the numbers would explode, but anyone who cannot admit his prediction of what would happen coming true must have their head in the sand. What he said was correct and still no politician wants to even talk about it, or do anything.

Absolute, fact....

But as we have seen here, the racist card is used by those who cannot think outside their weee box. ????

In what way is the UK "racist towards its public figures " ?

That was an awfully fortuitous conversation you had all those years ago, but just as well you remembered it when it would come in handy.

Well done you.

Well that's because the meaning given in the dictionary is a simplified explanation of a word full of complexities.

I like this quote:-

Someone is either a racist and therefore an inhuman monster or they're an actual complex human being and therefore by definition incapable of being racist.
