Defense Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, who is suspended from his duty as PM awaiting a constitutional court decision on his term limit, visited Rayong province to provide military support and boost the morale of the locals affected by flooding on Friday, September 16th.

More than 25,000 households in six districts of Rayong province were left inundated from consecutive downpours and high tides over the past few days, the spokesperson of Defense Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said, following the minister’s visit to meet with the affected locals this morning.

The minister asked the military officers to continue their assistance in providing food and shelter to people in the Thap Ma subdistrict. Prayut told the local media: “I want the officers to devise plans in advance to tackle the flooding. People who need to travel past flooded areas should be wary of diseases that come with floodwaters like leptospirosis.”

Is this guy for real, Was it not his job to ensure the flooding was contained, I mean after 8 years what the hell did he do for the country except pilfer the coffers...

Someone is getting their Rayong and Ranong provinces mixed up. Ranong is in Southern Thailand, Rayong is south of Pattaya.

I'm sure the Thai Defensive Minister got that bit from Anutin. :passifier:

After 8 years in power and still getting flooded out I'd have told him to bu##er off back to the barracks.

I'm sure the Locals will be forever grateful to this Goon.   The same Goon whose job it was to make sure Flood Prevention Measures were in place well before any Flood could occur !

Maybe checking the flooding depth to see if submarines can be used.

Yet another example of "journalistic brilliance" on the Pattaya News's part, I think!
