New passport, DL not updated

Featured Replies

Last year, April 2021, I received a new passport and updated the passport at information in several places (Visa transfert at Immigration, Bank account, etc.).
But I forgot to updated the passport information on my Drivers Licenses.

Today, at a police checkpoint, the police officer told me that I needed to update my DL.

Can I go to the DL department and ask for an update of my existing DL's?
Do I need to bring again all the documents for a DL or is my existing DL enough?
TIA

How would the Police Officer know you had a new passport? Did he really ask to see your new passport and compare it to Driving Licence?

Most people that don't have a yellow book change passport numbers when they renew their Thai DL.

The policemam obviously is not aware of that.

If he ask to see your passport the old passport number is in the new passport.

Just another fuss only nowt.

Yes you can and from memory they charge 50 or 100 baht - cannot remember. Also cannot remember what other docs they need if any other than copies of new and possibly old passport details.
