Just as an aside, what TVs are available other than flat screen ones? And how does one go about claiming their lavish dole money without access to the internet? The grumpy old right wingers on here have a mindset that dates from the time of the Flintstones... 3

The issue seemed to be with those on benefits being given expensive goods . You say "us" : Are you unemployed and in receipt of UK benefits and been given iphones and televisions ? I do hope that you havent retired to the tropics and still consider yourself "poor" and hard done by 3 1

bendejo Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Liz Truss’s premiership has got off to the worst start possible C'mon, let her get her a_se on the chair! Then sock it to her. There was a US political gasbag who declared Bill Clinton a failure before his inauguration, never read his column again after that. 1 1

Teams try and peak for the tournament, not half way between the last one and the next one. It's the perfect time to implement unpopular measures like these, because opinion polls don't matter and the results of such policies can be seen in time for the next election. 4

I didn’t think may would call an election after a walking holiday epiphany. I didn’t think sunak et al would turn on johnson. I honestly did not believe at first the tory base would be stupid enough to vote in truss. Yet all happened. I doubt truss will last two years and her chancellor almost certainly won’t. 2

If he is looking for real racism, I would suggest he check the Labour MP's comments about the Chancellor at the Labour Party conference.
