I have a 30 minute .mp3 file of a conversation between myself and my financial advisor.

I'd like to make notes from it .

Then I recalled seeing some automatically generated subtitles on YouTube videos.

So I started looking for programs or websites that would generate text from .mp3 files.

But there are so many and are so confusing that I thought I'd ask here if anyone has a recommendation.

The .mp3 file is on a Windows 10 PC.

Unfortunately, I can't see how to get it to convert English audio to English text.

It wants to translate from one language in to another.

Use Google Docs transcribe/ voice typing

Change the language to any other one into text and the change that text into English, Hay Presto..........
