Phuket – Phuket plans to temporarily move the Heroine Monument following road and area renovation projects.

 

A meeting was held this morning about the issue (October 12th). The province plans to renovate the Thep Kasattri Road and renovate Tha Rue Intersection near the Heroine Monument.

 

The plan is to build an underpass on Road No. 402 and Road No. 4027 (Tha Rue Intersection) to solve traffic problems.

I've never seen the simple concept of a roundabout be made so confusing as it is in Thailand. 

I thought heroin was illegal in LOS ????????????.

Is the roundabout proving too difficult to understand?

Thai people do not understand the purpose of the "Indicator" lights on vehicles so will never manage roundabouts.

Drivers are distracted by gawking at the monument as they negotiate the roundabout. Building underpasses will result in a subterranean crossroads. Nice one Somchai!

No doubt another three years of traffic chaos!
