Apartment building collapses in Samkong area, Rassada, Phuket

Rassada, Mueang Phuket – A 32-room apartment building in the Samkong area, Rassada sub-district, Mueang Phuket district collapsed. No deaths or major injuries were reported.

 

Rescue workers were notified of the incident at 23:25 P.M. Thursday (October 20th) at a no name rental room building, with two stories and 32 rooms in Soi Prayoon 2 on Yawarad Road, Samkong area in the Rassada sub-district.

Usual, badly poured concrete design and structure. I'm actually surprised it does not happen far more. Looks to be too much concrete on small uprights to me

once a falang said they build very good in Thailand.  I'm still laughing.  That was 5 years ago

At least the building owner had asked everyone to leave when they starting noticing the large cracks.

 

I guess the question now is if he will still expect them to pay rent.  ????
