Popular Post webfact Posted October 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2022 By Nop Meechukhun Banglamung, Chonburi – A popular entertainment venue, CLUB ONE Pattaya, was raided in the early hours of this morning, October 23rd. A number of drugs were found and confiscated while roughly 200 Thai and foreign customers escaped. The raid began at around 3:00 AM. on Sunday by officials from Pattaya City Police Station, Chonburi, and Region 2 police. Upon arrival, a number of tourists, estimated to be around 200, were found dancing and drinking. The authorities then ordered an employee to turn off the music and a drug examination on all customers. But while the officers were examining, one male customer began shouting and refusing to be inspected. Then, chaos began when hundreds of tourists tried to push through the guards’ defense lines and fled from the scene to escape the inspection. Due to less officials than customers, most tourists managed to slip away. Popular Post webfact Posted October 23, 2022 Author Popular Post Posted October 23, 2022 Over 200 Revellers All Flee Pattaya Pub Raid by TNR Staff The raid on a Pattaya pub with the Thai headline saying, “Chaos – arresting at Pattaya pub – customers flee and owner blows up.” Photo: TV Channel 7 A RAID on a high-end pub in Pattaya by a team of policemen from Provincial Police Region 2 and Pattaya police station failed to control the over 200 revellers who all pushed their way through the cordon and escaped, TV Channel 7 said today (Oct. 23). When the police team arrived at the posh pub located on Petchtrakul Road, North Pattaya, they saw that a large number of Thai and foreign customers were drinking and dancing to loud music amidst colourful stage lights and ordered the DJ to switch off the music and turn on the main lights. They then told the customers to separate into two groups of men and women to check their identification and undergo urine tests for drug consumption. Popular Post champers Posted October 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2022 This place has just changed name, it was previously called Bone. It is on Soi Pettrakul (correct spelling) behind Terminal 21 and was busted earlier in the year for still being open at 5am. It was also open last NYE even though at the time it was still forbidden for nightclubs to open. There seems to be some long running dispute with the BIB resulting in these sporadic raids. It seems the issue is in regard to the size of the brown envelope. Incidentally, there are a lot of Thai beer garden type places on that soi and I doubt they all close on time. 18 2

Popular Post alex8912 Posted October 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2022 What a wonderful way to start the high season. Every single Thai and foreigner there should post how they feel about being treated in Thailand during their holiday when out having a great time. Then the music stops and you have to pee!!! What are a bunch of idiot cops think they are doing to tourism!! Where else wound this happen when you're on a holiday? The parties in Riyadh don't even go down this way! Pathetic! 26 2 5 2 1
Popular Post jacko45k Posted October 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2022 What a fiasco. They seem to want to include local visitors from perhaps Bangkok in the 'tourists' group here...but I suspect most customers here were Thai....the video did not really look that bad. Not quite the mayhem one would expect. How did the fire safety features measure up? 8 3 1
Popular Post bkk6060 Posted October 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2022 It is really pathetic if anyone supports a place where patrons are selling, possessing and taking drugs. The place should be shut down permanently! 3 6 16
nigelforbes Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 This is the part that's more interesting, the foreigners who were there apparently decided not to stay and simply left: "failed to control the over 200 revellers who all pushed their way through the cordon and escaped, TV Channel 7 said today" 1 1

Spot on, I have spoken about this many times, holiday city with tourists running the gauntlet of the constant threat of police raids across the city clubs and bars alike, I remember pre-covid when you could get a drink anytime of the early hours without all this constant harrassment and corruption, covid is over - there is no such thing as "new normal" , lets get back to actual normal and put an end to this stupid corrupt nonsense 19 2 3 2
