Thai woman cuts her own finger off to "prove her honesty" - but still gets beaten up

Siam Rath reported that the Bang Len police in central Thailand went to a rented address in Naraphirom sub-district where there were reports of a domestic dispute. 

 

Next to a sewing machine outside they found Kansinee, 16.

 

She had severe facial bruising.

 

Her right index finger was in plaster.

 

Her right pinkie was covered in bloodstained paper.

 

Kasinee explained that she and her husband were involved in an ongoing argument over the long weekend that culminated in violence. 

 

The previous evening as part of the argument she said that she had severed her own finger to prove to her husband, 22, that what she was saying was the truth.

 

She then put the severed digit in a plastic bag and stored it in the freezer.

 

When the police arrived and she showed them it had melted and it was deemed unable to be reattached.

 

She was nonetheless given first aid at the scene and taken to Nakhon Chaisri Hospital.

Yes at 15 they can get married if the parents consent.

Did it ever occur to her that she was simply incompatible with her husband? Or is it possible she is simply insane? When your face is bruised up, and you start slicing your fingers off, it is never a good sign. You are never too young for a wonderful and refreshing divorce.

and i am sure at the wise old age of 16 she is more than mentally capable to deal with all of the challenges and emotional stress of being married.

Why are Thai kids so stupid?

 

This is another reason why nobody should let their kids go to school in Thailand. No matter these bad international schools or any school in Thailand. The Thai school system makes students more stupid.

This is very sad and she mostly likely cut herself as an act of desperation. Not much different than many Thai girls in Thailand that you see living with old geezzer expats. It's out of desperation, not love.

Probably not married. The Thai word "faen" means anything from girlfriend or boyfriend to legally married spouse.

The other side of the coin is that most have already tried relationships with Thai men in their own age group and decided they don't want another Thai man.

The PISA EDUCATIONAL TABLES show how poorly the system here performs ,which married to the social conditioning is a toxic mix. In retrospect I’ve never been more relieved that I took my 9 year old stepdaughter to U.K.,putting her in the state school system there (although in a very good area where I lived) . A levels in English and Maths and a first in business economics at a decent university led to a good job in E commerce. She has flourished ,though it is clear she’s considerably more intelligent than the average Thai . I shudder to think of what a waste it would have been had she remained here and wonder how many other bright kids have been blighted by the system. ????
