Any MG VS HEV owners out there

Featured Replies

I am looking for any feedback from anyone who owns a MG VS HEV

Anything either good or bad related to the car’s reliability or aftermarket service etc .

I don't think you will get much information of people's experience with the MG VS here. The model was only launched in Thailand two months ago, and they probably haven't even started delivering cars to customers yet.

I was quoted a 2 day delivery

Even so, he is asking for experience on the cars reliability and after sales experience. Given that the most anyone could have had the car is a few weeks, they probably don't have much to say about those areas.

I am surprised that you were quoted two day delivery, since MG's business model is built to order.

I have this on my short list for a change of car next year ( along with Honda HR-V, Corolla Cross and GWM Jolion ) and agree it’s too early to get any feedback about reliability.

I’ve had a ZS for two years and would have to say the aftermarket service is erratic at best, still trying to solve an intermittent problem with reversing camera after 18 months !, but that could change with location.

Your best bet is to join a Thai Facebook VS owners group to get the rundown, google translate struggles with some of the slang but you will get the general idea.

I did see my 1st VS red plater out in the wild today and it looks really good in the two tone ( white body black roof ) model , plus I really like the interior, those 2 x 12.3” screens together works very well.

Edit: there is a MG VS HEV Club group on FB but no worthwhile reports on there only adverts, still early days.

And they’d possibly be correct.....  once they’ve received delivery it would take them about two days to prepare the car for you....

Or... Translation: the sales lied to you !....   They lied to try and get your deposit.

Anyway... Don’t worry, You’ll have Khun LA on here soon enough to tell you all about MG EV’s (it may not be the exact same model... but...  he’s a big fan of MG)...

Their dealership experience etc even with a different model may offer an insight into what you could expect as an owner of the VS HEV.

I would think twice about purchasing a Chinese car.

Most things made there fall apart before other items made in other countries

So why not cars?

Just sayin'

Sometimes 'you get what you pay for' ...

... try spending more than ฿100 for an item, and it may last longer.

This may have been true in years past, but things have changed and, these days, lots of Chinese stuff is excellent.

Just a couple of examples:

Xiaomi electronics.

My MG EV.

Fan of both.  If given a choice, "Made in Chinese" or made elsewhere, I'll take Chinese first.  Our solar system and most of our electronics comes to mind.

Oh wait, is anything made 'elsewhere' ? ????

Come on, Japanese easily the best given the choice

That's one opinion, though I disagree.

China first for me, quality & price.

Korea & Japan, no particular order, quality, but price, maybe.

Last 2 cars, MGs, & E-MB, eBike (Schwinn bike & conv. kit)

Phones, Xiaomi

Other Xiaomi products; drone, air purifiers, power banks, headphones

China; all RC toys, drones, cars, planes, most cams.

Thai or China, Sony camera gear, kitchen appliances

Korea, ASUS laptops, TVs, maybe action cam

Japan, maybe a camera lens or a camera body, maybe

USA ... 1 overpriced cast iron skillet (Lodge). krap ele. razor

UK/EU ... nothing

Pretty sure Japan invented First Time processing and Just In Time processing hence the high quality products for many decades, others are catching up
