KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russia announced Saturday that it will move to suspend its implementation of a U.N.-brokered grain deal that has seen more than 9 million tons of grain exported from Ukraine during the war and has brought down soaring global food prices.

The Russian Defense Ministry cited an alleged Ukrainian drone attack against Russia’s Black Sea Fleet ships moored off the coast of occupied Crimea, which Russia says took place early Saturday, as the reason for the move. Ukraine has denied the attack, saying that the Russians mishandled their own weapons.

Russian Federation could not be screwing up more if that had been the intended plan all along...

While I'm somewhat sympathetic to the ordinary Russian, at this point I have to admit to looking forward to the inevitable loss of quality of life in that nation..

Shunned by all nations, save for those they are paying (with what?) to be their friends.

Predictable, it was due for renewal on the 19th Nov and Russia had already expressed their feelings not to continue it.

Terrible situation, the 3 day war has turned into a huge mess, in every aspect,

Is "mess" really an adequate term? Maybe if you're trying to mitigate the horror of it and treat it as though the onus for it doesn't lie on one side or the other.

Who'd have guessed that................

What a surprise. Russia stopping grain ships from the Ukraine from sailing yet offering Russian grain free to interested countries.

This news hot off the Pravda press in Ukraine.

I wonder whose grain the Russian people will eat?
