Only Some, Not All, World Cup Matches To Watch Live On Free TV: Prawit

DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER Prawit Wongsuwan has apparently dampened the hopes of the Thai people anticipating the live broadcasting of each and every soccer match in the Fifa World Cup 2022.

 

Prawit told reporters at Government House that the Thais might probably watch only some of a total of 64 soccer matches from Qatar on free TV here whilst the World Cup tournament held every four years is scheduled between November 20 and December 18.

 

The deputy premier in charge of sports affairs stopped short of saying how many of the total 64 soccer games starting from the opener until the final might probably be available to watch live in this country and blamed it on a pricey 1.6 billion baht Fifa broadcasting licence.

They've had four years to get TV rights organised and there still haven't got it sorted out .

  Seems like Thailand have made a low offer to FIFA for the TV rights and they are hoping that FIFA will accept the take it or leave it offer

There have been montrous cock-ups here and while this one, assuming some matches are shown, is not top three material it certainly deserves an Honorobale Mention.

TBH, I don't know what an android box is.

 

We have True wifi, for the laps and tv.

Just a simple box you connect to you TV like any other with HDMI cable and connect via Wifi. Has several apps already on it. Download many more and watch sport, latest films, series etc.

Can you still get it from true or other providers who bought it themselves?

 

It's only about 50M USD, which is chump change to people like Bezos.  Perhaps dolly can spring for it.

Well the first game vs Iran is a 8pm kickoff in Thailand, the remaining games are 2am starts.

I Called Truevisions Yesterday to ask if they were showing it ?? no, since they stupidly made into law that world cup matches must be available on free tv, any cable provider stupid enough to buy the rights would have to give that rights to the free tv channels, so everybody sit on their hands and it's not their problem

i would suggest if you cant find one, you will struggle to use one as well.
