Popular Post KhunBENQ
Video should be part of TaT promotion activities, so people know what to expect. Mass ATK tests. Oh no. Reminds me of the darkest times. Spending a billion+ Baht for the corrupt world cup and then make sure businesses can not make a profit from it. Did you listen to the video and understand what the seven rules are that they want to enforce? It seems to me that denying entry to under 20 year olds and closing by the stipulated time, along with no human trafficking's, all seem perfectly reasonable. If tourist don't like those rules, they shouldn't come here. I'd hardly call those things ruining tourism, unless of course the place is to be run like the Wild West with no rules at all. 2
Popular Post champers
I wouldn't like my night out to include giving a urine sample to the BIB. I see that another Chinese place; Panda; was raided. No wonder Xi won't shake hands with Prayut. 3
jacko45k
Which Police are 'region 2' then? Looks like it is the big nightclubs getting bothered, which will be full of Thais rather than tourists.. many have had a few days off work and they can't move around Bangkok as the roads are closed for APEC summit. Have a few at my house now!

Mickeymaus
It's good that laws are being enforced, but for how long... We've had enforcements like that many times before, only to end up in a situation where nobody cares about anything again anymore.

Just trying to return Pattaya to a Family Friendly destination, I mean isn't that what they claim it is?. I avoid the entire area if possible, we only drive over the Nong Nooch or down to the water park.....more power to those who enjoy the entertainment zones, just not my cup of tea... Yes indeed. Chinese triads have been busy in Bangkok during lockdown, as evidenced by recent news. I imagine in Pattaya also. But headlines that read, Police raid Pattaya bars to root out triad ownership will hardly go down well with general public.

Returning Pattaya to a Family friendly destination? I can't remember when it was one. And I also see how many new red light areas were build during the recent years. Central Pattaya for instance is no place anymore where I would stay as tourist with a family. You can't even walk on the Beach Road at night time because it is full of "entertainers". And not to mention all the other places like Walking Street, Soi 6, LK Metro, Tree Town, Soi Buakhao and countless others. Especially during the past months very many new (sex) bars opened. Must be a good business!?
mikebell
This sounds like a take-over bid by Region 2 police who are disappointed that Pattaya Plod's invisible men have been allowing multiple breaches of the seven laws - for a consideration.

Popular Post nigelforbes
A lot of people stay in Pattaya because there's a decent choice of inexpensive hotels, good restaurants and plenty of shopping, (Terminal 21 and Cent Fest). We did exactly that last week. At night we walked briefly down Beach Road just to take a look at Walking Street but then went back to the hotel. During the day we went to Sai Kaew Beach at Sattahip Naval Base and spent the day there. For lunch one day we went to Sky Gallery near Royal Cliff, then we spent time in Jomtiem. Pattaya can easily be described as a family friendly location, despite the existence of adult pleasures which nobody forces you to participate in or pay attention to. 2 2
