Thalang – An adult son has been arrested after reportedly slashing his father’s neck with a sharp instrument, murdering him, in Thalang.

The Thalang Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the incident at 6:00 P.M. today (November 21st) at a house in Baan Bang Jo, Sri Soonthorn sub-district.

Police and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find the body of Mr. Uthai Kammanochart, 51, the father. Mr. Arnon Kammanochart, 25, his son, was calmly waiting for police at the house with an eight-inch long knife covered with blood. Arnon was taken to the Thalang Police Station for further legal action.

For a pack of cigarettes. What the hell is wrong with people these days, especially the children. Very sad generation that want everything for free and throw a hissy fit when they don’t get their way.

It's reports like this, and there are many, that make you realise what a primitive society Thailand still is.

Hopefully this piece of detritus will now get a bullet to the head for a packet of cigarettes too !

No witness! Son says it was the father that had the hissy fit. You can make a judgement from this?

They said that cigarettes can kill, but not to this extend...

yes, yes, SOOOO primitive. I mean, after all we in first-world countries kill for such civilised reasons e.g. because someone doesn't like gay people, or thinks the lizard people are eating babies, or wants to eradicate people with different coloured skin, or for a baggie of meth, or because we feel like one-punch-coward-punching someone ending up with killing them, or murdering  the wife and kids because the wife won't tolerate the DV abuse any longer and tries to flee. Yes, yes, I see now how primitive Thai's are.

From reading newspapers, this seems to be true in most countries.

Father brought up the son.. didn't do a good job?

So many “man-child’s” here. All raised to think they are special, just because they are male. Treated like small kings during their entire childhood.

Often end up drinking all day, making some girl pregnant, abandoning her and the kid… and then leaching of their parents… until one day it ends like this…

Yes but it was the father(51), not the child (25) that threw the hissy fit here!!
