The rich tourists will be flocking here.

...to see The Wild West Shows on every night at a venue near you. Entry is FREE.

And don't forget the thrill of seeing police chase trannies and prostitutes across the beach. Hard to find anywhere except in Amazing Thailand. Book your air tickets now!

Why on earth would one actually go to some place to "to settle a dispute"...?

I would imagine each party hopes that they will arrive suitably ready to outnumber or outgun the other and get revenge for the perceived slight.

from the article:

When you are carrying a gun and think the others aren't.

In US just as bad or worse many places.  When you hear yelling or people talking loudly stay back.  Girlfriend wants to walk within a couple of feet of drunk guy fighting and he pulls out knife.  Thai culture is no holds bar.  They go from 0 to 10 almost. It is definitely sad the lack of psychology to assess the situation and calmly work towards an amicable solution

Or when you are carrying a knife and hoping the others don't have guns.

More gunfights in Pattaya, time to leave Thailand's "Dodge City".

How about a crack down on Thai's with guns instead of falangs with overstay?

December 1st. At 3:46 AM, the officers arrived to find two men, Mr. Tontrakarn Phasuk, 22, and Mr. Disorn Tokhan, 24, lying on Second Road in front of a hotel and Indian restaurant, bleeding heavily.

Nothing good happens after 1am.

Funny but I have no problem drinking all I want to drink before 9pm.

Guess that makes me too stupid to be laying on the ground bleeding out at 3am.

I'll leave that to the "geniuses" who probably will reply to this with what they consider a witty remark.????

Its an issue between Thai's. Can happen anywhere in Thailand. Its on 2nd road, where it happened is at least 200 metres from Walking St not a few metres.

That bandage looks like something from a cartoon . . . ????

It might be that it also should compensate for the lack of facemask .... ????

.... it may have happened at 1:45 am instead...  :whistling:

Seems like keeping the bars open until 8AM would be better, we'd be at 7:45 then the police maybe finished their cuppa joe or tea, and also the CCTV footage would be so so much clearer.

falang overstay versus thai with guns. which party is easier to approach for the requisite 'tea money'....?

Multiple witnesses, including several Indian tourists, were nearby shocked over the incident in a major tourism area. Tontrakarn suffered a deep cut to his head and one gunshot wound to his right arm, while Disorn suffered a gunshot wound to his thigh.

World renowned family friendly resort that TAT is trying to open up to 4am...

Just to give the tourist time to get more smashed.. and locals more profit.

If the places had closed at 2am, this would probably not have happened at 3.45am.

Well spotted... no comment about this from TAT?

For the most part Thai gang fights don't happen in the middle of tourist areas. Unlike Mexico

We do seem to get a few too many in the Walking St area.....
