Yes very true.

But it's not a regular thing, from where we all come from.

But it goes on all the time here. I have seen it a few times myself here.

Where people will not more over for a rescue/ambulance vehicle.

The vehicles has to under take the sad selfish sods. or cross two  or three lanes to get round the idiots.

They should start to make examples of this type of driver.

and a good candidate would be the one in this thread.

Is it safe to say two of the most toxic institutions in Thailand are the RTP and the army? Neither seem to be of much use to the people. The police seem to be the worst, with attitude issues. 

 

Police Colonel Charnchai Bengjantheukwith the Dan Khun Thot force in Nakhon Ratchasima in NE Thailand, is one of them. A thoroughly toxic man, full of himself for no justifiable reason, other than his rank and power. Someone needs to straighten him out.

This, of course, is inexcusable, but IMO of living in Thailand for over 20 years, I've seen almost NO ONE give right-a-way to vehicles with their emergency lights on and sirens blaring. I, as I was taught, immediately turn on my emergency blinkers and pull over the side, either side, to let the emergency vehicle pass. When I do that, I am usually honked at by the other Thai drivers and they immediately take advantage of the situation to pass me on the road! ???? 

What are your experiences in situations like this on the highways?
