Popular Post Onerak Posted December 7, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2022 That is just such a stupid answer that he likes Thailand so he did not want to leave. No wonder Thailand is getting quality tourists who could not even tell the truth why they can't leave or get their status legalized. Is he a moron? does he think that Thai immigration would let him go if he says he likes Thailand when caught hiding in Si Saket. I love Si Saket. My daughter's mother is from Si Saket. The cops helped me once when my GF stole my Passport and credit cards and I reported to the Police. They took me to my GF's house and her mom said he has a baby with her. The officer said oh it's a family matter and told me to sort it out with her. I said I have to go to Udon and take a flight to Bangkok. He took me to the bus station in his vehicle and told me where to buy tickets and which bus to take. 1 3

webfact Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 UK man arrested on a Sisaket road for 75-day visa overstay faces Bangkok jail and deportation by James Morris and Son Nguyen Michael McLaughlin was detained and questioned by police on Thursday in Sisaket. He is now being held at Sisaket Police Station as legal proceedings are prepared against him for overstaying his visa in Thailand. 30-year-old Michael McLaughlin at first denied any knowledge of breaking the law but later changed his story by admitting he was hiding in Sisaket because he wanted to stay in Thailand and avoid returning to the United Kingdom. A 30-year-old UK national is facing deportation after being arrested by Immigration Bureau officers in Sisaket as part of a nationwide crackdown on visa overstayers. The Immigration Bureau in Sisaket province, in lower northeastern Thailand, announced on Tuesday that it had arrested a UK man for overstaying his visa in Thailand by 75 days. The move appears to be part of a nationwide crackdown with reports of foreigners being rounded up also in other parts of the country. Popular Post Onerak Posted December 7, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2022 4 hours ago, it is what it is said: a stolen passport is a family matter? he wasn't really that helpful was he?! Yes, he was very helpful. I knew I could get a passport no matter who stole it also I wanted to report to the police as soon as I was aware that I don't have the passport with me. My goals were two things. 1. To get a lost passport report without implicating her. 2. Scare her and her family that I can summon police if needed. So, I concocted a story about how she may have my passport because we had a fighting the night before but I was not sure 100%. Will he help me to go to her house and ensure if she have my passport or not. Also, the police had no obligation to drive me around to her house or to the bus station. All goals were accomplished without any problems. 2 1

The cop thought no money to be had if she had buggered off with his credit cards as well as his passport and that he would probably need his cash for the bus ride.
Bim Smith Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 If the UK did their job and done this they would be called racist by the loony lefties. You can't blame Thailand for doing this. Sounds like the guy knows Thai culture well as his reply was right out of the Thai Wai book of "please let me off". 1

Old Croc Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 It seems to me there is more to this story than has been published. A 30yo knowingly overstaying, hiding out, and reluctant to return home. Local authorities looking for him specifically in the town where he is hiding. Just a guess, but I wouldn't be surprised it UK authorities asked the locals to apprehend him for other matters. 1
