It will die without human care. It's a domesticated hand reared pet bird... Not a wild bird. It has no instincts to survive in the wild. It won't be able to find food, shelter and it will have no skills to avoid predators like cats, birds or prey etc.

Neighbor balcony to mine likes to grow trees or bushes or whatever. Attracts birds. They build nests. Well guess what? When it comes time for the little chicks to go stretch their wings, they get to do so twenty stories off the ground. One of them got lucky and landed on my balcony. Didn't know what to do so I just let it be. Sure enough, along come the parents to harangue the poor thing into taking flight again. Up it goes. Peep peep peep. Then down it goes. Not a sound. Brutal. Don't let birds build nests on your balcony if you are so high that you don't think the babies will survive the fall.

Wife lost a budgie once. Never seen again.

You obviously know nothing about domesticated animals. It's not got instincts to survive. This species naturally comes from South America. The climate and habitat there is very different to here in thaild. Its not even evolved to live here. That would be like setting your pet dog free on the savanah in Africa and expecting its natural instincts to kick in. Its a flock bird too. They rely on each other in the flock to look out for predators and danger as well as locate food. On its own it stands no chance.. I suspect it will get hungry soon and fly to a human in search of food. Hopefully they will be a good person and look after it or give it to someone who keeps birds.
December 11, 20223 yr So he's flown the coop so to speak ..... I seen a bird flying north about 6.00pm .... could have been the parrot. He's a free bird now ...

Firstly, in all likelihood, this one was the offspring of several generations of captive bred birds. Secondly, you expect it to fly to Venezuela to "find its people"?
December 11, 20223 yr My wife found this in the road , if you think your bird turned blue overnight then feel free to claim it !

December 12, 20223 yr I hope you find the parrot. I would keep looking in the grounds of the resort and the neighbours. I might keep returning to this area.

These ones are very tame, and often sit on my shoulder ( I did say SIT ). They belong to a Lady down the Hill, and fly free every Day to return at night.
