True TV problem

Featured Replies

We have the basic True Id service and the box worked ok for the past 3 years. Recently when TV switched on there is a message saying something went wrong, or another one saying DNS server not responding. If the box is unplugged and plugged in again it boots up and works until the next time the Tv is put on.

Calling the True guy out he updated the system, same messages so he came back and replaced the box and remote. Later they ring up and tell us as they cannot find the serial number of the returned box so he will have to bring it back and take the new one away, then we will have to take the faulty one into the office at central!

By the time he came back to swop the boxes the new one was doing the same thing and he said if we upgraded to true visions it would not do it, True id old, not so good etc. Think we will return the box and cancel it, will rarely look at the Tv anyway now the world cup has finished. Is it the service or the boxes?

Ye we pretty much have the same issue. Rebooting the box doesn't even work now either. True say we need to upgrade package.

Not happening as we have negotiated ourselves a good deal with true over the years  and upgrading with a new contract would set us back to square one at full rate.

Trying to watch World Cup on Ch24;  Isn't that True?

Kept doing this at start of games.  Unplug and restart the box and all OK.  I was assuming this was due to Thailand not paying FIFA fees for world Cup.
