Big reduction in the electricity standing charge

My electric bill is the lowest I’ve seen since installing solar due to the reduction in the standing charge.

What did your solar set-up cost you?

Well done for keeping the meter at 0 (again :whistling:)

Yeah that 12 THB reduction on the Service Charge is a great help, but the 0,9343 Ft charge (per unit) is hurting. I wonder what the increase in April will be (and that is just in time for the Hot weather)

Not everyone is in it for the Profit.

If you look at us, our ROI would be in the 10's of years :whistling: (and we are not done at spending yet as SWMBO is slowly coming aboard, so hopefully LFP4 here you come :cheesy:)

Being able to dump excess solar production in the middle of the day into my EV make a big difference

That is in my plans as well (an EV) but SWMBO is the brake on this, as someone said to me "Slowly Slowly catch a monkey".

She was also very negative at first about my Solar Plans, but now she is the one who wants the PEA bill to go lower and lower and lower ????

Give it time, and if you are using a 5/15 metre it can get to be free.

Nope our house is on 15/45, next door house is 5/15 but we don't use it we only bought it too increase our land size (for the wife's garden)

Next door house is free (only have a light on 24/7) and uses 12 kWh and thus free (< 50 units)

Hehehehe....yes, well, that would make you what..???    ....0.000001%..??........???? .....just a stab in the dark mind you.

I think even less, especially with the LFP's (hopefully) coming, our (mine only at the moment) goal is to be in-depended as possible from the PEA

Electricity supply in Thailand is not universally reliable. I’m sure yours is great and you never get a brown-out or a black-out but where I live power cuts are not uncommon.

I want to have power for lights, fans, aircon and running water all the time and I am prepared to pay for it.

Me too, which is why I paid an extra 50kbht for batteries.

Need another 40kbht of batteries for full freedom.

Come the Zombie apocalypse I'll be OK!
