February 4, 20233 yr Popular Post Well, the boy genius’ from the roads/safety patrol have decided to install both loose traffic cones as well as bolted down pylons around the island……in the middle of the roads! Does this strike anyone else as an accident waiting to happen? It is tough enough riding a motorbike on Samui while constantly keeping an eye peeled for dogs, scooters, folks on their phones and tourists but now there are extra exciting things to attempt to prevent you from arriving at your chosen destination with all of your skin still attached to your person. If I still had my old beater truck I would make it my lifes mission to drive around the island and destroy every cone that had the temerity to enter my field of vision. Ok…rant over. For now…
February 4, 20233 yr You rather have pylons in the middle of the way or a ghost driving 10 wheeler truck facing you? Choices man, TIT. Can't believe some people are so bored and ignorant, to even start topics about this. You want confirmation for your rant? Because nothing is gonna change anyway.

February 4, 20233 yr You think it's bad here ... Once upon a time... The UK had such a problem with the out-of-control breeding of traffic cones the government actually set up a hot line to report the ruddy things. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cones_Hotline "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

February 7, 20233 yr I never had problems driving on Samui – been doing it since 2001 – when comparing to my home country I got used to that the traffic is "same-same, but different"... It was actually little weird to drive in my home country when I for once was back last year...????
