Popular Post swissie Posted February 21, 2023 Popular Post Posted February 21, 2023 Please tell me. Has the "Ukraine fever" reached Thailand also? In Europe, it's the main news event for a year now. An Army of "Military experts" have popped up, sharing their expertise freely, having taken over the "Talk Show Circus" completely. = What does Putin want, what should he do? What will our wise Western Politicians do? (blessed with wisdom but short of arms) etc etc etc etc Has the "Ukraine Fever" reached the shores of Thailand same same? (Mediawise/the Thai populace?). ------------------------ Naturally, I consider myself as a premier Military Expert. My favorite theory: Putin is fighting this war "on a low flame", way below his military capabilities. But enough war, so that the West constantly has to send arms to the Ukraine. Problem: The West has downsized their Armies to a degree that we don't really have anything to spare. Example: The German Bundeswehr has ammo for 2 "fighting days"!!!!!! Could it be that Putin only waits for the day when the West has sent all the remaining weaponery to the Ukraine? Mobilising 1 million reservists and start marching toward Paris? Slurping Café Crème and eating Croissants in Paris, 4 weeks later? PS: Is there a chance that Thailand would take in "Western War Refugees"? If yes, (as a matter of caution), I would prefer to already book a room at "Lulu's Bar and Grill" in Pattaya. 1 4 14
Popular Post Jingthing Posted February 21, 2023 Popular Post Posted February 21, 2023 That's a good question about the level of Thai Interest. I would say very little. Chances of formally offering asylum? Zero. Chances of labeling Russian draft dodgers as tourists? 100 percent. A silly premise about occupying Paris but true the west needs to ramp up weapons production not just send existing stocks 9 2 1

What we call "cannon fodder" are declared "National Heroes" in Russia after every war. 4 1 2 1

Yeah but have you noticed that many young Russians are saying NYET and voting with their feet (that's the only real vote they have). 3

Popular Post Jingthing Posted February 21, 2023 Popular Post Posted February 21, 2023 I detect a tone of be irrationally overly fearful of Russia syndrome going on here. That's what Putin wants. To fall for that is a win for him. He's not going to use nukes. Their economy is much worse than they're telling you. Their losses are massive. Young people more and more are not liking this, even the ones who haven't left yet. Russia can't really win. What do they win? A land full of people that hate their guts. What they can do is destroy Ukraine and that's a tragedy. 6 1

The Hungarians were never friendly to Russia, they are just looking after their own interests. So do the Swiss, the experts in money laundering, the blood and crime money are always welcome, most dictators and mass murderers have Swiss bank accounts and real estate. Oligarchs Central. 4
