Positive content and experience are inversely correlated

People who manage 30 - 40 profiles are still real people.

Back then i was riveyed reading the forum and it was pretty buoyant. Nothing like it is now, as i said, a shame.

IMO the forum today is not the same place as it was when I started on it, and it changed long before the name did. I could spend 4 times as long on it then than I do now, for reasons I can't discuss on here.

The forum-concept with some regulars that show up regularly has been dead as a door nail for at least half a dozen years. This little watering hole where a few posting, cynical wildebeasts still congregate is a thing of small beauty.

I only joined in January, and I notice it's slowed down a bit since then. My landlord used to look in a few times a day here; now he says that the front page barely changes from week to week.

So be be grateful for what you still find here, and put up or respond to something yourself. I'm borrrred, entertaiiiin me is not a good look.

I went Ko Phangan and. before I went, I asked about it and got good advice on that branch. Then I followed up and told about my trip to pay it back a bit.

Whatever your Thai experience is, someone else would benefit from hearing about it.

The real benefit of this forum, as with ThaiVisa before, is for the posters on the specialist subforums.

There are two more popular subforums that are probably needed to get numbers up for the advertising, but both of them have seen a reduced number of posters compared to a few years ago, IMO. I certainly find a lot less threads worth posting on.

I've long suspected fakery on here,  Laughing Lou and Thaibraindead just cannot be real ....

Folk being able to tell the difference between 'lose and loose' confirmed it for me.   Rarely see that these days....

Oh for the days of the 'Klingon Doctor'   Post about Pattaya at your peril when he was on here....

Thanks for all your replies, they seem from real people, some are even funny. Particularly, some (one) pretend this is not a forum just about thailand. Actually, in 4 pages, 120 posts, there is 0 post about football on a saturday. I am not sure I even have seen one (re)post about sports, Tv, food, weather, sex stimulants ... or any other trivial subject like finding decent wine at 499THB in Ubon Ratchathani. I mean I am not 100% surprised by the presence of news reposts about U.S. politics or king Charles, but by their overwhelming quantity today like there is no room for nothing else, or maybe there is nothing else, hence my question

This forum is ASEAN based and covers world affairs including economic  matters, banking,  currency,  investing, sport, health, politics etc

What happened to the LA comedy writer who won poster of the year about 3 years ago?

Was living in Hua Hin, would joke about how boring it is there, etc.
