Custom Made Shoes. Where?

Recommended Posts

Posted

A long time ago I had some shoes custom made in a shop on the corner of South Pattaya road and 2nd Road.

Does any one know if that shop is still there and if they still make custom made shoes?

Or any other shop that makes custom made shoes?

My wife called them and they told us custom made shoes start from 4000THB and take approx a week to make them.

Will report back after we visited them

I was in the trade, but not a shoemaker. I brought 2 pairs of shoes with me from the UK, they are still like new, and I reckon about 35 years old...☺️

I have no idea where my OLD one's are. Moved around a bit.

And I don't have any shoes, as I haven't worn them for over 9 years. Here I only wear flip flops :whistling:

4,000 baht will be starting price, if you want all the 'fixins', the price will tick upwards like a custom suit or a car with options.

Its not in Pattaya but opposite side of Sukhumvit Road to T21 ... just a short ways down Sukhumvit Road ... after you walk down the BTS steps to the roadway from BTS station there's a shoe maker.

I had shoes made by Siam Bootery but they moved somewhere else years back (they were just a few doors along on the same side of Sukhumvit Road).

This other shoe-shop a little ways further along Suk Rd seemed to have some crazy, but also some nice looking shoes, similar to the pic you posted.

Siam Bootery made me some really goods hard soled moccasins in lizard skins .. very nice ... I still wear them.

Old? Not even old enough to get a Government Pension and only just recently on a retirement extension here in Thailand

Slovenliness? My Wife disapproves ????

So just convenience.

Edit:

Maybe Flip Flips was the wrong word, I mean one of these
