It's not 7/11's policy.  It is a nationwide law.

If you want to buy alcohol during non sale hours try mom and pop places.

Unfortunately there's no mom and pop places at that particular location.

Hospital admissions of Thais suffering from paranoia, irrational behaviour etc attributed to the use of weed have rocketed by 500% since decriminalisation of weed.

Source: A N. about a month ago.

Straight, unadulterated weed does not cause aggressive behaviour,  quite the opposite.

Irrational, yes,

Paranoia, regularly.

Aggression, naa.

Wow this guy certainly picked the wrong country to do this. Jail, IDC and deportation awaits. Blatantly off his head on something with no care of being filmed. Just wonder how much consular "assistance" he'll receive. Certainly doesn't deserve any.

I suspect this young beer monster fell foul of 7/11's ridiculous alcohol serving hours. I drink about 2 beers a year and still nearly had a fit when they refused to serve me at 1 minute past 2 oclock or whenever it was.

It's not that they dont want to serve you, they cant scan it to go through the till,

Most young Brits dream of selling bling for 10 quid on a London street corner with Jason Statham.

True.

What has Jason Statham got to do with selling bling ?   Did you mean David Jason?

7-Elevens seem to be a magnet for more than a fair share of foreign troublemakers.

Not exactly many other shops open 24/7 (this case 3am) to take your frustrations out on are there

I just just called out the Chinese for being bad tourists. We’re not all the same lol, and this scumbag should be sent back to his council estate and banned for life. Embarrassment!

Should never have been allowed to leave his council estate in the first place

At least it wasn’t kidnap and murder. I’m sure the Thais would prefer loads of Brits mixing too many herbs with the 20 pints of beer a day.

An interesting charge as detailed in the link; trespassing at night. You can be charged with trespassing if you enter a 7-eleven store? This country gets weirder by the day.

They could take the money and ring it up later. But why should they break the law, no matter how irrational and stupid it is.

Wow, the Brits are making a name for themselves.

I agree he's a complete and utter turnip, but why is it when you see daily reports of all nationalities committing offences, it only seems to be the Brits who warrant a comment. Is it because we're normally perfect gentlemen?

This is a rare instance where I'd give the ???????? if the git was smashed up a bit.

That's generally the case, The Thais (used) to refer to Brits as "poo dee angrit" an honour that I don't think was bestowed on other nationalities.

Unfortunately the world is shrinking, Years ago, our world renowned "council estate scum" was one of the UK's best kept secrets , they  rarely "holidayed" abroad, preferring to spend their benefit money in places like Brighton  or  Blackpool ,

In the 70's with the availability of cheap package holidays they began to travel further afield with spain being the destination of choice, cheap alcohol being the main attraction,   Tenerife drew them a bit further from home by providing free alcohol in the form of "all inclusive" deals

The "budget" airlines allowed them to disgrace themselves in places like Greece, Cyprus and  Prague (for stag nights )

Fortunately the cost of travelling to Thailand prevented the vast majority of them from arriving here , cheaper air fares and increased state benefits however have unfortunately  made it a viable destination for some of them in recent years  Causing much embarrassment to the rest of us

Weed City

People would generally equate this kind of behaviour with the (over) consumption of alcohol, or if it had been a Thai , methamphetamine would normally be blamed

Only the most ignorant uninformed and misguided proponents of "reefer madness" would even think of mentioning cannabis as a possible contributing factor to this sort of behaviour.

However it may provoke psychosis.

Depending on THC content, and the vulnerability of the individual user, pyschotic episodes are not uncommon.

He may have thought he was behaving perfectly normally if that was the case.

"The use of cannabis, especially frequent use, has been linked to a higher risk of developing schizophrenia or other psychoses (severe mental illnesses) in people who are predisposed to these illnesses".

Without wanting to go off topic, one potential upside of the forthcoming central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) is that they can be programmable to stop welfare benefits money being spent on flights. Downside for many of us could be that they could also track spending on the number of flights taken, and block purchase due to potential "carbon credit" limits.

I'd say his parents are losers just like this guy.
