Car spa and Car stereo fitting in Bangkok

Featured Replies

I hope its ok I post two questions in one post.
I’m looking for;

1: a good car wash/spa that does a good job on exterior and interior.

2: I have bought a stereo replacement unit for my car which is a upgrade and not from the car brand (Toyota) I want to replace the original unit with the new one. Does anyone have any recommendations on shops that will do the job without breaking everything?

thank you and happy songkran!

Did until this part. Dont be so negative, a good and dependable shop for anything is a great thing here. Just think how dependable air conditioner service is doing now.

Not sure if I understand your post, I have been to shops in Europe and Middle East where you’ll have screws and fasteners falling out for months after their job, but the neighbour shop is doing a perfect execution.

You mean to say it’s out of the question getting a good job done in Bangkok? Then I believe you’ve not been to the right places

Search in google map, you should find a specialist of car audio in your neighbourhood as there are many small and a few big shops in bangkok. I agree there is no reason to doubt of the quality of work for most things in Bangkok and even in Thailand compared to elsewhere. The reference in car audio in Bangkok is Rocket Sound

I had never been to audio fixing but to air con shop recommended by a Thai friend. They do not give you a price quotation first. When you give your car to their hands that's it, they will go bottomless.

In my case at the first visit the guy said 'need to fill gas' which cost 500 Baht. After two months it stopped working, no cooling. So went back to the same shop. This time he said he will check and find out the issue. He had a little boy around 16 yrs old and this boy started taking off glove compartment, pulling out the headlight and then pulled out the evaporator. They try to disassemble the tubes connected to evaporator by banging like hell. Finally, they damaged the evaporator and couldn't disassemble. Now, he turned around and told me with straight face 'you need to change evaporator.' I asked how much? He called somewhere and replied '4500 Baht'. So I agreeed and paid a total of 6000 including gas refill and Labour.

It worked for 3 months only.

This time I didn't go back anymore.

In the mean time I found a Chevrolet repair center on Petchaburi road where they fix Isuzu and SAAB as well. They gave me a Proforma invoice and I paid 2500 Baht.

I am in the third month now and crossing my fingers if it will stop running again.

At least, this time, I feel that they did a professional job where the floor is clean.

I have had good experiences with Driver Sound at Future Park Rangsit on three separate vehicles. No problems. Excellent workmanship.

Go to the rooftop in the multi story car park at Khlong Thom Centre, there are lots of guys there fitting stereos etc, usually from purchase made within the centre but they will fit any if you take it to them.
