When Biden (29 yrs old) was campaigning against Cale Boggs (63 yrs old) for the Senate seat, 1972, 63 was apparently to old to be in politics.

The reason the democrats are not holding debates is not because Biden can't debate.

 

It's because he's a successful incumbent who is not facing a serious challenge by anyone. 

 

IF it happens that an activity competitive democrat decides to challenge the incumbent then the democratic party would definitely hold debates.

 

But that's unlikely.

Biden said he considered his age very carefully. You've got nothing. He exercises with weights and is highly unlikely to have suffered any cognitive decline. Had he done so his doctors would have advised him of such. This constant canard is tiresome.

Can any American explain why there is no-one in America of working age who is suitable to stand for President. There was one, but he was also the only man in America barred from standing in 2016 and so America and the world got Trump instead of Obama for a third term.

I agree completely. SHould be term limits at every level of government service. A max age of 70 for their final election cycle (if not earlier).  Politics was never meant to be a lifetime job.

More like he'll sneak out to his beach house every weekend and "call a lid" on the other days.  Continue to avoid the press, except when he can have the questions in advance AND have time to prepare his answers.

I’ll make a prediction.

 

President Biden won’t ever resort to presenting any claims of mental incapacity or cognitive decline in order to avoid standing trial, avoid criminal sentencing or secure early release from criminal incarceration.

 

He certainly can’t refer back to any incidents of being rushed into the Walter Reed in the middle of the night to be administered the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test. 

I don’t rule out such claims, though not from President Biden.

So is it better to think  and prepare before you speak or just blurt out whatever comes to your mind?with this caveat you are in charge of the most powerful country on our little powderkeg of a planet?the smart money is on the guy that’s prepared and has a top notch  team of experts backing them up and who’s smart enough to listen to them

You're right, joe shouldn't be allowed to speak off the cuff. "Whatever comes to your mind" would be OK if the individual has any knowledge on the subject and is actually running the show.

Most likely he had more important concerns than a kids question after all he is potus a person wielding that much power should NEVER speak off the cuff expert or not.we just had 4 years of the off the cuff ignorant leadership and it had world wide repercussions not to mention the damage done domestically we are still trying to get back to stability

Biden's spectacular success in the past years is entirely due to his experts. As it should be. Trump on the other hand only advanced policy which would benefit him, like stiffing Ukraine and the 2.5 trillion dollar catastrophic gift to the rich which will cripple the US economy for decades.
