Popular Post webfact
"My Mate Nate" Claims Entertainment Purposes, 8 Real Policemen Hired for Off-Duty Roles Well-known content creator "My Mate Nate" has encountered police officers in Kanchanaburi city, stating that the controversial video he posted was solely for entertainment purposes. Out of the 30 individuals involved, eight were actual police officers hired for off-duty roles, while the remaining 22 were actors. As for the filming location, it was a private property with proper permissions obtained, reported Thai Rath. Following the recent social media uproar surrounding the viral video in which Nate filmed a survival mission, the latest progress was discussed during a meeting held at the Kanchanaburi Provincial Police Headquarters on June 20th, 2023, at 3:00 PM. Deputy Police Colonel Pairawat Khumpai, the Kanchanaburi Provincial Police Commander, along with his deputy and Police Colonel Surayut Mekmangkorn, the Superintendent of Kanchanaburi City Police Station, attended the meeting to discuss the investigation progress. According to Police Colonel Surayut Mekmangkorn, during the meeting, Nate, whose real name is undisclosed, personally met with the police at Kanchanaburi City Police Station and provided information about the filming location, date, and social media posting time of the video in question. Nate also shared details about the police involvement, explaining that he contacted off-duty officers to participate in the production for additional income. As for the actors, they were hired through a third party, which requires further verification. Initially, the intent behind the video, as claimed by Nate, was solely for entertainment purposes, portraying a chase and search scenario. However, the matter of any potential misconduct has been reported to the superiors for further consideration. "As in regular movie production, if permission is granted and there is a script to be evaluated, the authorities will consider how the police officers executed their roles. If the superiors approve, it can be done," added Police Colonel Surayut Mekmangkorn. Nevertheless, after the news broke, My Mate Nate's content received significant attention from the teenage student community in Kanchanaburi. Discussions about him and the desire for more content in the area have been prevalent, as his popularity has brought worldwide recognition to Kanchanaburi, making his content worth following for entertainment purposes. Popular Post herfiehandbag
This fellow must have a season ticket to the "local police station", his antics seem to be investigated regularly. Has anyone watched his outpourings, is he as much of a wally as he appears? I must confess that I have not, but then I am a grumpy old git (my crippled foot hurts this morning) who believes that it should be a criminal offence to wear a baseball cap if aged over 21, and a capital offence to wear it backwards! 4 1 2 4 4 6

Popular Post JBChiangRai
There are a couple of other issues. For foreign individual or organisations to film for anything commercial, you need government approval here with a particular type of visa. Secondly, this is the guy's job, if he doesn't have the right visa/gov't permission, he's earning money doing this, so he needs a work permit and must pay taxes if he lives here. I suspect this is only going to get worse. 6 1

Popular Post bamnutsak
Eight? Thirty? Fifty? The obfuscation begins. Having the Police investigate themselves just means that police corruption will NEVER be addressed. An independent civilian board needs to oversee the RTP. Nate probably should have had an on-screen and written (in the description/more area) disclaimer saying that "No real policemen were harmed making this video." And he should hire a few assistant editors to provide guidance going forward. It is interesting how many "Actors" appear to be real policemen. Especially the girth-challenged, with the shirt buttons about to pop and put someone's eye out. 1 1

Chalerms sons - serious thugs, been charged / convicted many times. One shot / killed a cop at point blank range, then he fled to Malaysia. Many years later a news report 'he wasn't ready to return to Thailand because the media were still very negative about him and he was't being shown enough respect'. At least 2 of the sons have held high level positions as cops / miitary officers. 2
