Best go and find out.

You need to find a mental health specialist to talk with.  Medication can be prescribed for depression, anxiety or whatever the treatment may call for.  As far as the drinking goes, you might wish to also find a local AA chapter or give one a call.  Depending on your own personal medical insurance they may be able to connect you online with a mental health professional who can assist you.

Ive had a lot of experience with diazepam . Used to be easy to get it and it helped wiened me off the booze before. Trouble is its harder to get over the counter this days. How many pills will the hospital or clinic prescribe me? 1 strip of 10 will be nowhwee near enough

They won't solve it. They might provide a little relief with some medicine or possibly a suggestion of a therapist.

...But the truth is the solution will be rather boring and rather obvious: you need to cut back on whatever is causing the stress, you need to touch grass (go for a walk in a park, listen to the birds), meet friends, make time for family, make a plan to resolve the issues which are stressing you, even if that means compromising your current lifestyle. And stop drinking.

Good luck.

Do not take pills without seeking help first. Terrible advice.

Diazepam has been around for many, many  years, half the world uses that type of medications with out any issues as long as they didn't abuse it, the doctors will give the op the same or similar anyway as a starter.

Valium is only going to make your problems worse and give you one more addiction to go along with alcohol. Get all your ducks lined up buy a ticket and go. If in hindsight you change your mind its easy to come back.

Your life here is not going to get any better in the short run.

First step talk to depression expert

2nd talk to friends

3rd stop drinking fullstop

4th take a multivitiman at least, eat yoghurt, fruit

5th (or first).   Exercise.  An underrated but very effective tool in the mental health toolbox.

Try some cannabis oil, or full-fat weed.

Sounds like good advice. Or at least take a flight "home" or outside Thailand. A change of perspective might be better than pharmaceutical help.

if he is already abusing booze then i suspect adding valium will just make things worse and if he can get enough of it add another addiction...there is a reason it is not all that easy to get since many tend to get hooked....

@Op,how old are you?

You seem to think like you are a victim of some sorts.

Look at what you all have, much more then a lot of people around you.

Not a nervous break down but a depression imo.

I have had that for a very long time and i can tell you you need help.

When you have a depression even a simple task like making a cup of coffee can seem too much.

It is up to you if you are going to get help or not,not easy to get good help in Thailand but being in Thailand was the help i needed for me.

You feel like people can see that there is something wrong with you,i get that from some of your other posts.

Accept who you are and you will have to make some decisions .

Like other people already said,a change of scenery maybe good for you.

Start with little things.

Best advice.  The OP confirms what I've known for a long time.  These haters of Thais and Thailand are not happy people.

You look to be a good candidate to relocate to Cambodia. All the drugs you need are available over the counter without prescriptions. Enjoy.

Yes maybe u are right

i dont like any restrictions on my liberty, including being told what drugs i can and cant put in my body

Seek professional medical advice for possible therapy or medication.

Otherwise, try going to your nearest entertainment area, find a nice girl and have a good time.  Gets my mind off other issues and always puts me in a great mood.
