Thai "men"? Are there any??? ????

Yes, they were the Thai good samaritans who called the Sawong Buriboon Rescue Thai male volenteers to assist the woman.

What did you do to help? Or any other western male?

  • Do you know that she was not having a health incident or perhaps had been spiked? Presuming she was in some venue prior, I would expect security to do a better job of helping her get medical assistanc

30 baht is only for the basic healthcare.

If you need surgery or some serious healthcare you better have some $$$$

Sorry but not true, Doesn't sound like she needed surgery. My missus had her appendix removed and was charged 30b including meds.

I also new a young lady on welfare, with TB, 2 weeks in an isolation ward ZERO baht.

You think that's an offence?!

yeah

I've already conceded that!

You think that it could ever be enforced if an accused simply said that they did not see whatever it was they were accused of not assisting with?

if they dumped her, then they saw her.

not sure if western countries have laws holding people in such situations accountable.

Disagree here.

For many years now it is much safer to not get involved.

Sad but true.

Maybe I would have done the same when the heat is on?????????

Helping somebody in Thailand can bring you into hot waters.
Not only the "help" but the REAL danger that the person who has been helped may turn into you and accuse you for causing the injuries.
Would not be the 1st time and would not be the last time here.
Even (REAL CASE), being "a friend of someone" can get you into deep waters when that person is in trouble and he list you as his friend.

I know a lady in Korat who needs a "balloon" surgery in the Maharat, on a 30 baht sheme, and she is told that she have 2 choices:
1. There is a wait list for that surgery from 4 months.
So, go home, and if you had no heart attack in that time, we can maybe do the surgery.
2. Pay for the surgery (not 30 baht) and we can do it this week.

End of this silly discussion for me.

Samaritans

I hear lots about these good samaritans. Who are they? Are they available at all hours of the day and night everywhere? Are they omnipresence?
