It might well be even prettier today as we got a good dose of rain yesterday.

If it gets much boggier than it currently is they'll probably build another international airport on it ????

  • You can get to the soi 15 side by going down piss alley, turn left off Diana immediately after Areca Lodge if that is of use. It's tight in a truck if something comes the other way though.

Drove around yesterday, they are digging 2nd road up again to lay cables, beach road being repaved and dug up, nightmare

That was my observations yesterday as well. In the street, not sidewalk pavement as we know might be finish this year.

Numerous huge orange detour blocks, many many places down beach road.

Not even laughable anymore.

And soi 15 between 2nd and Buakhao.......never forget that major effort, or lack of.

Any improvement in the situation to day?

I was there twice today and it's still a nightmare.  Major upgrades take time, not much can be done about it.

Today the entance of soi 15 on Buakhao looks almost finished, I'd guess at potentially vehicle access in a week

Yep, laying concrete on soi 15 Bukhao end (which you can bypass anyway). After Centara and Grand Avenue they had almost finished with cars able to pass over rough dirt path, but yesterday they dug it all up again ????

Soi 15 and 2nd road an absolute mess. Can't even walk through

Beach road footpath walkway is supposed to be finished before high season supposed to start in october 'so they said'. I guess they got both things wrong. Time will tell.

No the reference to the beach that is supposed to be finished by October is the paving of Beach Rd. In case you have not seen the beach walkway project, it's about halfway done. No way Norway done by October.

Right cables on one side pipes on other. Never ever seen such an endless roadworks***show  here.

Even the sidewalks. As side example things have to be done over and over again.

Soi 15 is now open at soi Bukhao. They just need to move the rubbish they put in middle of the road

Still blocked from Grand Avenue to Avenue shopping centre, the same 10 metres of road they had finished 2 weeks ago

Theppasit road seems like nearly done, but the U-turns are deadly, very small one if you are going towards Sukhumvit and you want to go to Lotus

Soi 15 fully open now, from Buakhao, also from 2nd road looks finished although I've not ridden all the way through

Might give it a buzz Sunday then..... well done getting this job completed.... thankfully the latter parts were executed better than the initial construction which just seemed to get nowhere for months on end. I guess this is meant to take water from the frequently flooded Buakhao low lying area, to the main system on 2nd Rd?

Wow, they've even put dashed white lines down the middle and solid yellow line on corners ????

Actually it's pretty impressive painting. No sooner do they paint the lines people are riding and walking over them and no marks. Must be instant dry?
