About how much does it cost to rent an average 125cc or 150cc scooter in Bangkok for 1 month? Also, any motorbike rental shops that you would recommend? 

 

Lastly, any recommendation on where to buy the helmets? 

 

I'm planning on renting a scooter for one month and try it out before possibly buying one.

Helmets - where to buy depends on the quality and brand you want. 

You can get a cheap 'Index' helmet from a supermarket or you can get an internatoinal standard 'Shoei' or 'Arai' from shops such as Paddock and Panda Rider.

Nothing average about that, too wide a range and different make/models ... just pop into some shops and ask.  Range 5k-15k a month, so not exactly helpful.
