In Bangkok's Chatuchak district, a young Russian man was found deceased following a fall from a high-rise apartment.

The victim's identity remains undisclosed. Initial police inquiries suggest that the individual broke his room's window before leaping from the 39th floor. Observers noted a loud crash prior to the discovery of the shattered body, reported Thai Rath.

On August 11, 2023 at 6:00 PM, Police Lieutenant Rungroj Torai of Din Daeng Police Station responded to a report of a fatal incident involving a fall from a luxury 40-story condominium located in the city center.

The victim, a 25-year-old Russian male, was discovered lifeless beside the condominium wall, dressed in blue shorts, and bearing serious head wounds, fractures, and other injuries.

Authorities are actively probing the circumstances leading to this tragic event and endeavoring to identify individuals connected to the victim for further investigation. The body has been sent to Ramathibodi Hospital's forensic department.

I understand these people are not in their right mind, but they could spare a thought for the poor staff who have to find the body.  Probably a cleaner or security guard.

True but what options do they have? Drugs, hanging are painful. Jumping is least pain as instant death.

Putin changed the law in Russia to allow enemies of the Kremlin to be assassinated on Russian or Foreign soil.

I wouldn't put it past him to have an assassination team here to kill a few draft dodgers to send an implied message at home.  It's very much his style.

They would be busy in Phuket it's like little Moscow here

Ukrainian war vet solving his PTSD issues?

Is there such a thing as a Russian veteran from the Russian-Ukraine war apart from being severely wounded (excludes lost of limbs!) or dead?

Anyone who's planning on suicide will not break a window first, most likely he was drunk enough to go  trough a glass door or a window and took a dive.

Why not, maybe he wanted to hit the ground without scars from before. Like die pretty.

May have needed to break it. We stayed in an 8th floor hotel recently, windows had security stays fitted allowing them to open about 15cm / 6 inches maximum. Presumably to stop them being caught by wind and swung back on their hinges.

Of course they might if there are no balconies.

Don't forget the rescue crew who have to clear the remains and take it to the hospital,
