When I first got here I lived in a hotel near central for a month. The chef advised me it might not be a bad idea to live in Jomtien, she didn't really enjoy being around most of her customers(most were from India or China).

Maybe they had already cleared their planned take in breakfast with the owners the day before!

Did you ask?

The profit from their 15 beverages was probably greater than that from your breakfast!

Could you not have had a word with the restaurant staff to voice your objections or did you just suffer in silence?

No.  I'm suggesting that maybe people who come from different parts of the world think differently, and holding them to his standards smacks of the bwana.  If you don't like Asian customs, why live in Asia?
