No. That's what started it, not what caused it. Just like WW2 wasn't caused by the German invasion of Poland. It did start it though.

I get your point, but the dynamic of these topics is that digging up respective narratives and ongoing complaints of both sides is often used as means to avoid the issue at hand. So getting into all the supposed historical accounts, semi related side issues and what not is great - but ultimately leaves these topics a mess, and undermines chances for discussion.

I am not anti Israeli, contrary to most on here I have even visited the country twice.

My comparison was not with Nazi Germany but about the cause of a war. I didn't even mention Germany or Nazis. You're attempting to make it about something it is not, which tends to happen here. Morch understood.

No, Israel launched rockets to hit the source of where rockets from Gaza were fired from .

   If Hamas fires rockets from Schools, Hospitals or apartments , then Israel can attack those buildings .

   Its not a war crime to fire back at the source of missiles , although it would be a war crime to use hostages as human shields

The German invasion of Poland (which you mentioned) was indeed about Nazi Germany .

We are discussing the current situation , rather than constant "whataboutery" , you seem to not want to discuss current Palestinian atrocities and just point your finger at Israel all the time .

   Anyone who is critical of Israel isn't labelled as being an "anti-Semite" , personally, i just questioned why some people have such a fixation with Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, and officially, comparing Israel to Nazis is officially an  anti Semitic opinion .

Iron Dome is very effective. However with several thousand rockets being fired over a few hours it was quite simply swamped.

 

Even if it destroys a rocket ( and it seems to have destroyed a large percentage) the debris falling to earth from the arial explosions will inevitably cause a lot of damage.

 

To blame this on a " black flag operation" shows a quite remarkable level of stupidity!

1) Gaza is not under occupation. It has it's own government, one which uses the same savagery to keep its own people in line.

 

2) The border with Israel is sealed ( albeit Israel supplied Gaza with fresh water and electricity - or did until they apparently blew up the power station). The savage slaughter perpetrated on Israeli civilians explains why it is sealed. Why of course the border with Egypt is also sealed is a question that needs to be addressed to the Egyptians. The resources accumulated and dedicated to these thousands of rockets would go a long way towards improving the lot of the inhabitants of Gaza.

 

The French Resistance did not go into Germany, slaughter young civilians, film it to demonstrate their bravery and prowess, and , for example, ride around using the stripped body of a young woman as a seat.

It is a well known fact that NOTHING effects tourist arrivals, spending and such. Been declared many times.

 

In the Real world, two Thai citizens were killed, others wounded and several taken captive to Gaza.

There was talk from the Thai PM about evacuating Thai citizens from Israel, so far didn't happen.

Token so far. Hopefully it will remain thus.

Lebanon is already in tatters, economically and politically - so jumping in might not be the best decision. Then again, it's a great way to take people minds off domestic issues.
