Plane tickets, taxis, fuel, hotels, food, drinks... anything where payments are mad.

VAT and income / profit tax from the business all find their way to the establishment.

The moment you spend money in a country, part of that ends up in the government.

If you don't understand that, you're just not intelligent or experienced enough to have any discussion with.

Seems that you are not intelligent enough to understand you pay also VAT on those items in your home country, and which is most likely 3 times as much as in Thailand

Thai politics not much different to many other countries, notably the USA & Russia! The USA gets their intelligence organisation to assassinate their unwanted leaders and with the VP of the day in cohorts. In Thailand they just go into exile and when the dust has settled cruise back in.

The current PM is just the poodle to the fugitive it’s clear for all to see once the fugitive is released from his hospital bed he will make a miracle recovery within hours and will be controlling the government. These ministers must think the public are idiots to believe all this verbal diarrhoea they keep spewing out every single day . Come the next election there will only be one winner and it will be a landslide

That will be fine with me, as long as there are no soldiers or ex soldiers involved.

Less than two months after taking power, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin appears to be overshadowed by the Shinawatra family, judging from the people around him.

A high proportion of his official and unofficial advisers, government appointees, and Cabinet colleagues are Shinawatra loyalists, friends, political allies, in-laws, or even family members.

Over the past month, PM Srettha has appointed 13 official advisers mostly linked to past governments led by Thaksin Shinawatra or his sister Yingluck.

Nine advisers were named on September 14: Kittiratt Na-Ranong, Tewan Liptapanlop, Pichai Chunhavajira, Supanit Chaiyawat, Pimol Srivikorn, Pichit Chuenban, Chonlatit Surasawadi, Chai Watcharong, and Surayut Thavikulwat.

Srettha appointed four more on October 4: Tongthong Chandransu, Paitoon Chutimakornkul, Arthit Suriyabhivadh, and Police General Chinnapat Sarasin.

PM’s official advisers

Kittiratt, 65, served as deputy prime minister, finance minister, and economic czar in Yingluck’s government. Formerly a deputy Pheu Thai leader, Kittiratt has now been hired to share his expertise as Srettha’s chief adviser.

Srettha had backed Kittiratt for the post of new Football Association of Thailand president but seemed to change his mind a few days before being voted in as prime minister, saying he “would be better suited to helping out the government with its work”.

I don't remember Thai PBS whining and complaining 9 years ago when Prayuth did something similar and went one stage further by appointing his family, cronies and mates to become 'appointed senators'.

its really none of our business.

yes, its obvious what is happening here........but we are not Thai, and we choose to live here or not...........for now at least we have that choice....

before we start criticising Thai politics, we should all take a long hard look at our own governments, especially UK and US

What absolute drivel - the UK and USA didnt steal the election. From the party the won it!! The UK and US didn’t bring back a fugitive in a sham hospital farce. The UK and USA dont spout racist Xenophobic garbage every day - take a long hard look at your own posts - I’m married to a Thai and have been for 15 years. In the UK and USA that gives you certain rights that here are taken away - some people just can’t help apologizing for nothing!!!

It seems one poster is happy with soldiers running the country going by the saddo.

Or maybe he’s not happy with either party running the country - sorry if your brain can’t stretch to that option!! Saddo!!!

They also voted against the Pheu Thai -  it one outside the country decided it wa a good use to bring back a fugitive in the biggest middle finger up to the people ever

Yeah but not in the numbers that Mr. T thought they would even PT lost seats to MFP.  Now he has to figure ut how with the military he is going to make everyone love red again instead of orange before the military throws their puppet Mr. T out the door.

I have a feeling that while right now he is safe there are those that have chares already lined up for him if he makes a wrong move.  Notice that sister is no where near to come back>

You seriously believe they have not taken lesson learned from the mishap of past election and having to deal with the case post-election?

I would be very surprised if this will be let to happen again as it would be catastrophic, though sure hope so.

Because he knows Thaksin's policies worked for the poor population of Thailand. Apart from the B10,000 payout (which he is now back tracking on) nearly every policy he has reinstated were Thaksin policies, before the army allowed him to leave with HIS money. After which the rich got richer the vendors got orders to close. The farmers were priced out of farming. (I know because my mother-in-law lost access to the land) the B300 health cap was removed, and foreigners' health insurance was restricted to Thai companies (now it's back to how it was) I would rather have Thaksin's way before the corrupt military way.

Executing people in dead of night , 3,000 + , this iOS your hero , buying votes also , you sound like a kid

Stupid headline. The "influence" has always been there 100% since he fled the country. He's one of the biggest reasons, if not the biggest, why Thailand has got a government the majority of Thai people did not want. He's the puppeteer.
