A Phuket motorbike driver who blocked an ambulance that was rushing a patient to hospital has had his comeuppance. The bike rider in question deliberately blocked an ambulance travelling behind him, before getting into an accident where he broke both his legs.

 

Kusoldharm rescue worker Somphong Panaputae was driving the ambulance transporting a seriously ill patient to Patong Hospital.

 

“Earlier this week, I was driving an ambulance with a patient heading to a hospital. There was a motorbike rider in front of my ambulance slowing our travel. The patient was having a medical emergency and we were in a hurry with all sirens and lights blaring.”

Fairly common in humans for bones to break when sudden excessive forces are applied.

Hope they made him wait for the next ambulance!

So much for the patient in the ambulance having an emergency. If the patient wasn't in the ambulance, then the bike rider wouldn't have broken legs. Sounds like a god set up the whole incident.

The bike accident wasn't related to the ambulance at all!

Should have made him walk to the hospital or, even better, crawl.

According to the Phuket Express report, the authorities have not revealed the identify of the bike rider and have not confirmed if he will be charged with blocking the ambulance.

How can you possibly understand someone who deliberately blocks an ambulance? And it happens often in Thailand.

Did they call a friendly taxi driver to transport him

Hoping that all ambulances have a radio over which they can tell each other to stay far away from the scum with broken legs, let him die on the street, IMO.

It's not the ambulance, per se, more the inconvenience of someone wanting to make one move.

He will be charged all right, he hasn't a leg to stand on.🥴

How do you work that out?  

likely put a claim in for his/her loss of earnings and a new bike.

He not only held up the ambulance but also caused more inconvenience & probably blocked other drivers whilst lying in the road.
