No, not were I live, I encountered none of this fear of Covid bearing foreigner stuff. Indeed I had great assistance getting registered for vaccination and was vaccinated for free, all with a smile.

Undoubtedly much depends on where you live, your neighbourhood, the places you frequent and most certainly your general demeanour.

As with much in life, you get back what you put in.

Why would you have to agree with something that was never said?

Anutin labelled us as such.

He called us to high heaven in Thai.

Haven't you seen the video?

I get the impression you're dissatisfied with just about everything, people pick up on that. If you go around looking like a sour faced $%#^ don't be surprised if you're responded to in kind.

Have you seen a video in which he said those words?  If you have post the quote/video were he said "Farangs are dirty and are the cause of the pandemic" or that "No farangs should not be offered vaccines" [sic].

You're so pedantic, Lou.

He actually said a lot worse than what dmaxdan said he said.

So you can't quote/link it?  Thought so.  He did not say either of those things.

Proven to me and a few others. But that's an interesting point, does it break the rules if you were claiming to be another gender and would that be a reason to ban a poster? Some on here claim they can tell our gender and nationality from IP addresses, amusing. Several people on here appear to claim to be other than they actually are, but nobody gangs up on them.

It's all about attiude, respect, the body language or the tone used to interact. No matter in which direction; Thai-->foreigner or the other way round.

What can be rather interesting on a different approach,  is how a minority of western foreigners in Thailand,  try to look down on other foreigners who are as "foreign" as a "farang" is-..... in the eyes of the Thai's.

It somewhat reminds me of this acquaintance back in a nice western nation, married to a fine Middle Eastern lady, but  was always ranting agains other foreigners.

Who said that? And you think politicians represent the feelings of the people?

I'd say Thais are generally neutral...uless you live in a tourist area where they will try to get every baht out of you. I personaly know only one xenophobic Thai...suprisingly he studied overseas and fluent in English. Probably got teased for being so fat I guess when she was there.

very true....that's why I guess they will always remain where there are, despite all the opportunities sent by the universe !!

The miserable farang moaners are the same here as they would be in their home countries. They would be happy nowhere.

The answer to this one is a lot simpler than people always try to project.

In General Thai's feel as indifferent about us (foreigners) as they do about each other.

That's they really don't consider us at all until interacting and when there is an interaction its generally taken at face value.

There are of course those Thai's whose attitudes have become tainted in area's where there are a lot of foreigners because some have behaved poorly which triggers a negative bias and self perpetuates a degree of mutual disregard.

In my daily interaction with Thai's in Bangkok in general walks of life I feel perfectly normal, I feel I am treated perfectly normally.
