Hi, thanks in advance.

In 12 days I fly from London to Kuala Lumpur and then an overnight layover before I fly to Bangkok.

I have a Thai tourist visa but wanted to make sure I have no issues in Bangkok as I will have a visa stamp from Malaysia from my layover.

Will my Thai tourist visa be valid even though I had layover in Kuala Lumpur?

Thanks

Your visa won't be affected.

I wonder why you have to go thru KL?

Cheaper ticket or... ?

Yes it's much cheaper to fly to KL from London. I think I saved 340.

Then the flight was about 50 to Bkk.

Almost get there same time too.

Thanks for your reply

Can't you stay in transit area? No immigration, no stamp. Works on many airports.

I fly with 2 different airlines.

Etihad and Air Asia.

I arrive terminal 1 and have to get train to terminal 2

Why would anyone with a valid Thai Tourist Visa have an issue because they stayed in Kuala Lumpur 1 night? Geez stay there a week if you like, add Manila and Singapore too.

As long as you arrive in Thailand within the valid date of tourist Visa you will be fine no matter where you go beforehand (the flights you stated on TV application are not binding and can be changed after Visa issued)

You do realize that people from all over the world fly into Thailand from hundreds of different countries, right?

Do you think anybody would or could dictate where they need to fly from, to enter Thailand on a valid visa?

Enjoy your trip!

Why, it won't be a problem at all.

OP unless your wanting to go in Malaysia there should be transit passengers area which you don’t leave the airport..

Why does it matter. So many posters with paranoid fantasies that entering Kuala Lumpur will void a valid Thai visa. Where does this paranoia suggesting stay in transit area come from?
