I expect TAT to be elevated to deity status next year by tourism authority of all nations.

Statues will be built, weeping hordes of Thais laying roses at the statues feet.

And of course a 100% mark up in price to see the statues if a foreigner..

More lies from TAT - Vietnam won Asia's Leading Destination - 3rd year in a row.

Asia's Leading Destination 2023 – World Travel Awards

Thailand won a few awards - but not many.

Asia Winners 2023 – World Travel Awards

No mention of any 'best outside Europe' awards.

Come on... we all know they scoured the internet to find this Danish report. Most likely it was from some small news clip in their small country making this claim and has no bearing on the rest of the worlds opinion or polls... It was posted in Thai news to bring hope without anything factually actually coming out of it..

1 list put USA as #1 outside of Europe, and another listed only 3% go to SEA, CH, JP, TH.  And all different years, including during covid.   2018 and it was France, USA, Germany at #7.   TH @ #10, actually more like 12 or more, since a few had multiple destination in the #'d slot.

So you either use 2019's #s or 2023's for anything close to accurate.  Does voting it as a top destination actually mean people go there, or was the question, 'were would you go ?'

How is the voting done ?

NO mention of people actually visiting TH or any country ... hmm

"OMG, ... TH is so cheap, you have to go" .... comes to mind
