I sent GBP 20,000 from my Bkk Foreign Currency Account to my UK bank. Took one day, but cost GBP126, about 0.63%. No WP, retired.

It had been accepted as part of my THB 800,000 by my IO, but I needed it urgently in UK.

Bangkok bank branch, had to exchange to a foreign major currency. Sent 300USD, fee nearly 1,200 baht.

BIC code (former Swift)

Passport.

Bankbook.

No WP.

Received next day.

yeah but for $30K USD transfer fee would still have been $33 ( 1200 baht )

Bought GBP at branch so the amount arriving was the amount sent. 1150 baht fees. Can't remember the exchange rate  at Bangkok Bank whatever the rate was last Tuesday.

Foreign Exchange Rates (bangkokbank.com)  44.7850 today to BUY GBP at TT transfer rate.  They will only give you 43.57750 for a quid.
