Popular Post webfact
On Saturday, a stunning statement from the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok called on Thailand’s media to exercise restraint and self-censor news reports and coverage of growing tensions between the self-ruled island state and the People’s Republic of China in Beijing. The statement came in response to an interview with the Taiwanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Joseph Wu Jaushieh, broadcast on Thai PBS on Friday, November 3rd. Shocking and peremptory statement from Chinese officials in Bangkok appears to order the Thai media into line over Taiwan. The trigger was a respectful interview on the Thai PBS channel with the Taiwanese Foreign Minister. The Chinese Embassy in Bangkok has warned Thai media outlets about coverage of Taiwan, saying it could damage the friendship between the people of China and Thailand. In an angry tone, the diplomatic mission strongly criticised as ‘nonsense’ and ‘fallacies’ the pronouncements of the Taiwanese Foreign Minister in an interview given in Taipei on November 1st to the respected TV station Thai PBS, which was broadcast on November 3rd. The Embassy statement described the interview as an abuse of press freedom that harmed the relationship between Thailand and China. On Saturday, the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok issued an extraordinary statement criticising a Thai media outlet for carrying an interview with Taiwan’s Foreign Minister, Mr Joseph Wu Jaushieh. Earlier, Thai PBS news anchor and Assistant News Editor Phongsathat Sukhaphongrn interviewed the senior government official on November 1st in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. This self-governing island state also styles itself as the Republic of China since 1949. by Joseph O' Connor Full story: Thai Examiner.com 2023-11-13 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post sqwakvfr
Is there a difference between news coverage and propaganda for the Chinese government? This will be difficult but it may be time for the Chinese to accept Taiwan as is as and move on. 16 1 8 1

Popular Post spidermike007
At home we consistently lie to our people, frankly we're not sure whether they believe it or not, but that's just the way we operate as a communist power mongering party. We expect Thailand as a beneficiary of our largess to follow our rules and comply immediately. Whatever we ask must be done, after all we are the giant in the neighborhood and we do not wear our power lightly, so do as asked or face the consequences of our ire. In reality Taiwan is a great country, that has accomplished great things, they broke away from China for a very good reasons like common sense and reason, and they are a free and independent nation. China simply wants to flex their muscles and begin their expansionist policies throughout the Pacific region. Taiwan is likely a good place to start as is the entire China Sea. Both claims are entirely bogus and Xi has to be treated as the dictator despot he truly is. Popular Post seajae
last thing china wants is the truth getting out into the public domain, they do everything through threats as its all they are capable of. The world really needs to stand up to china and tell them where to go and what they can do with their threats everytime something doesnt go their way or exposes the truth about them. 3 1 3 1

Popular Post Buffy Frobisher
Couple this censorship demand with Sretta suggesting that he bring Chinese police in to "help" police Thailand streets at night, and you've got the Solomon Islands sellout Part 2. In no time you'll have the Chinese "donating" football stadiums and other facilities to win Thai hearts and minds, and before you know it Mandarin will be compulsory in schools. It only ends in tears. Sretta and his kowtowing to Xi may well be worse for this country than TS and his cronies ever were. 8 6 4
Popular Post Expat Tom
First CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Police on Walking Street and next the Chinese Masters will require the Thai government to engage in censorship? Popular Post Fairynuff
China, the bastion of human rights. So its not a request its a warning? "On Saturday, the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok issued an extraordinary statement criticising a Thai media outlet for carrying an interview with Taiwan’s Foreign Minister, Mr Joseph Wu Jaushieh. " So will Thailand criticize China over the criticism and 'warning' and tell them mind their own business just say nothing? Popular Post Scouse123
And here we are now! China massively expanding its air force and Navies as well as its nuclear arms capabilities. They did this filthy nonsense in Tibet and now trying to take over the entire South China Sea against all claims from Vietnam, the Philippines, and all other countries in the region having rightful claims to territorial waters. China, of course, ignores this. Furthermore, they are now throwing their weight around with African and European countries under their unfair ' belt and roads ' policy. Italy got wise to it and pulled out. The Chinese were furious with them and threatened retaliation. Now, trying to introduce their Chinese police into countries around the world to ' help ' Chinese tourists, the objective is more likely to crush dissent by Chinese nationals living abroad. Taiwan is another example, it was never ruled by the CCP however, they are hell-bent on taking it. Look at their friends, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, kind of says it all.
