The lower court judge had already absolutely found Trump had engaged in an insurrection. Her baffling point was that she wasn't sure if the person holding The Office of Chief Executive was an officer. HUH❗❓ DUH❗Think there was a method to her madness though. She didn't want to be the target of Trump and his crazy and dangerous cult/mob/hitmen/lunatics. Living in fear, receiving death threat and possible bodily harm to herself and family would have been the outcome...so she left it up to the Supreme Court, which "manned up" and did the right thing.

The CO decision is fair and consistent with what the Founders and additional Amendments to the Constitution demand.

 

It is an eligibility requirement, just like a POTUS candidate must be 35 years of age or older and must be a natural born US citizen. The 14th Amendment additionally required that a candidate cannot have engaged in insurrection. A CO judge, after hearing evidence, ruled that trump engaged in insurrection. The CO SC then ruled that trump violated a Constitutional eligibility requirement.

 

Someone like Arnold can be Gov of CA, but he cannot run for POTUS, because he was not born in the US. Taylor Swift is wildly popular (and likely much richer than trump), but she cannot yet run for POTUS because she isn't 35 years old yet. trump was ruled off the CO primary ballot because he engaged in insurrection.

 

He is ineligible.

BS because a "finding" from a single judge might result in some Republican voters in Colorado not having their choice of presidential candidate available as an option in the next election. The validity and value of the impeachment inquiry into Biden will hopefully be revealed after some evidence is presented. This inquiry will allow more evidence to be gathered first.

The call where Trump called Raffensperger to get him to stop obstructing the fraud investigation?  As Trump explained during the call, evidence proves Trump won Georgia by a massive margin, only to have victory stolen through equally massive fraud.  Trump sought to avoid litigation forcing Raffensperger to do his job, which is to make at least a minimal effort to clear away enough fraud to allow Trump his actual and honest victory in Georgia. Trump breaks down the numbers and they discuss them, pretty basic stuff or "conspiracy of the century" in your mind perhaps? 

 

You should try reading the call transcript where there were lawyers and others who were on the call with Trump. When you are done please point out in what county, state, in America where Trumps call constitute a crime (or just a big troll tidbit bereft of logic for you)  LOL You got nothing but empty woke nothin-burgers.

What a surprise ! A democrat state, with a democrat court and a democrat state supreme court - what a total joke ! 

 

I see 3 possible outcomes of this : 

 

1. The supreme court over-rules it - I think is correct - it is a right wing leaning 6-3 supreme court anyway.  Trump has not been 'criminally' convicted of insurrection. The law was initiated originally I believe to stop confederates that fought against the union from running for president.

 

2. Supreme court agrees - I think unlikely, as it will lead to every state doing the same for each runner of both parties in every future election. There will be fighting on the streets if this happens. Biden/the democrats taking out the person ahead of them in the polls is ridiculous - America is becoming a banana republic if this happens and will be laughed at if they try and intercede in any world conflict

 

3. The total break up of the United States - the right leaning ones and the left leaning - say 25 states each - it may sound crazy but we are at a point where the judicial system has been politicised and each state is now going against the next. Personally, I think this is the best idea - the far left are far to radical now for any right leaning person to live with.

1. Are you seriously suggesting that the current polls showing  a large swing for Trump is now due to people becoming cult members and lunatics ?  And not just normal people fed up with 'Bidenonmic' failures and border invasions ?

What evidence? Republicans keep screaming they have the smoking gun, and it always turns out to be big pile of horse sh!t. They’ve been at it for over a year and and still got nothing on Biden, and the only evidence they will ever be able to present will have been fabricated. The Biden crime family? Don’t make me laugh. That would be my concern as well. As long as Trump hasn't been convicted for insurrection, disqualifying him as a candidate looks like a very questionable decision. I'd assume that this decision will be overturned for this reason.

 

I do think he's guilty of that crime, but he has a right to due process just like anyone else.
