An announced power cut is set to disrupt numerous residences, condominiums, and villa estates along Layan Soi 1, Moo 6, Cherng Talay, Phuket. The Provincial Electricity Authority’s Thalang branch (PEA Thalang) has planned this interruption for tomorrow.

The blackout, scheduled from 9am to 4.30pm, is required to facilitate maintenance work on the high-voltage electrical system in the said area. The undertaking aims to enhance the reliability and safety of the power supply, ensuring a steady flow of electricity in the future.

Several key locations have been earmarked to be affected by this outage. These include Layan Soi 1, Ocean Breeze Estate, The Villas Overlooking Layan Resort project, Lemongrass Condominiums, and the Layan Escape project.

However, the scope of the interruption is not limited to these areas. The map provided by the PEA also highlights Tamarind Hills, Layan Sea View Villas, Areeya Villa Layan, Phuket, and Aileen Villas Layan as regions that will experience the power cut.

Thats what makes it newsworthy😀

Looking at the amount of large-scale construction in that area I suppose the local grid needs a serious upgrade. Some serious money being invested around there where before it was just small stuff.
