On January 13th, 2024, Patong police officers captured a Columbian snatch thief who stole belongings from a Russian tourist in Soi Suk Charoen, Patong, Phuket.


According to a report by the police, on January 12th, at 11:45 PM, a Russian tourist whose name was withheld by the police, 35, was heading to his hotel on Soi Suk Charoen, while a Columbian thief whose name was also withheld by the police was riding a motorbike and allegedly snatched the Russian tourist’s shoulder bag away.

it was a tourist, i.e. one. it was an opportunity theft, buy the sound of it, not sure he was actually targeting a Russian.
