Accountability....something he has never faced in his silver spoon existence to date. Ms Carroll has the dress she claims she wore when trump raped her. She never laundered it, and it has stains. Way back when she first brought this to light, she asked for a sample of trump's DNA to match against the stains. If trump was innocent, he should have 'called her bluff' and provided it. Had the DNA not matched, the matter would likely be over and done, because even in a "He said, She said" trial, the mismatch would have been raised in court and butchered Ms Carroll's credibility. trump refused to provide a sample, thus the matter eventually went to civil trial and trump lost. trump's second chance was to just keep his mouth shut after the initial $5 million verdict. He was incapable of not mouthing off. Ms Carroll got increasing numbers of death threats from trump's goobers. So regular is this kind of thing now---death threats to anyone who in any way criticizes trump or holds him accountable---that the judge allowed jury members to remain anonymous, and even yesterday advised all of them to refrain from outing themselves or telling anyone they were members of this jury. Such is the threat of the violent maga goobers. The attorney for Ms Carroll argued that the award had to be high enough that it would get trump to finally shut up. The jury understood and came back with the amount they did. At least in the first 12 hours it has worked. By 31 January Judge Engoron in the bank and insurance fraud conviction will decide the amount of fines and punitive damages trump has to pay. The NY AG has asked for $370 million. trump will appeal, of course, but there is a requirement that he post the entire amount while the appeal process is ongoing. I do not believe it can be done via a bond, but instead must be cash in an escrow account. Even if a bond is allowed, few bondsmen are going to take the risk, as trump's payment history is pretty poor. The Carroll trial is civil, not criminal, so I do not know if he has to post the entire amount while appealing, but again, what bondsman would be willing to take trump risk? I suspect trump is going to go to old faithful---his goobers---to appeal for funds.
