Chonburi — A collision between a minivan and a parked timber truck on Highway 36 in Chonburi resulted in injuries to two passengers on Wednesday evening, February 8th.

Responding to the accident at 7:16 PM, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan rescue unit found a damaged minivan with 19 passengers onboard, two of whom required immediate medical attention. The remaining 17 were uninjured. They were moved to a safer location due to poor lighting at the accident site.

The minivan, operating on the Bangkok-Mabtaput-Rayong route, belonged to the Bangkok Bus Cooperative. It sustained significant damage to its windshield.

Aw... the ever present truck or car parked on the right of way while the driver retrieves his food... no lights or warnings... and the speeding mini van.

Dangerous Rd Hwy 36..... despite recent modernization. U-Turns and fast impatient traffic.

The van driver contributed the cause of the accident to the truck’s lack of proper warning signals and limited visibility on the truck’s part.

Of course it was the Trucks Fault .

The Van driver was wide awake and Driving Slow and had his Lights on High Beam and had Driving lights as well ,he could see a 1/2 KLM ahead But Didn't see the Truck.

I have said it before but will say it again. Thailand is not yet ready for these self-driving vehicles...😋
