You're absolutely right, just had to betray his supporters and his country to do it!

He certainly pulled the wool over Thailand's eyes in his quest to rejoin the trough

As mentioned earlier just another hi-so hypocrite just like the rest of the Thai elites....

Why would a billionaire care?

No thanks, its a cr@p paper.

A "cr@p" paper that, along with Private Eye, exposed the sub- postmaster scandal?

A "cr@p" paper that forensically investigated and exposed the Baroness Mone scandal?

Yeah right. Best you stick with the pictures in the Scum eh!

No doubt the time and location will be given to the 'rent a crowd ' and TV stations to ensure full coverage of their heroes return after his ordeal in the penthouse suit of the police hospital.

At least get your own facts right before spouting off, Computer Weekly was the first to publish about the post office scandal.

Whats the scum?

Walk free from prison? He never spent a night there.

Walk free from luxury suite at the police HQ would be more accurate.

Either way, bad news for expats in Thailand. Thaksin is notoriously anti foreigner. I wouldn't be surprised to see visa crackdowns, increased financial requirements etc. Bad news all round.

Considering coup generals, insurrectionists leader Suthep Thaigsuban and Abhisit Vejjajiva connected with the 90 deaths in 2010 are still walking free, Thaksin walking free should just add to normal political expediency in Thailand.

Be prepared for a sudden, dramatic recovery in his health.

Now get ready to be bombarded in the press to get his sister back to Thailand.

Let's see him, at every photo opportunity giving solemn Wais to senior monks, pictures of the King, any minister that will listen until he takes charge again, and the public, who his party sold out.

Stomach turning, the hypocrisy and nepotism that goes on in this country, without so much as a red face.

I think foreigners will be way down his list of priorities for the next few years.
