Unruly British man goes berserk on Bangkok-London flight (video)

It's better that he was arrested in the UK rather than Thailand because in Thailand he would simply be freed after paying a bribe to the Police of a few million Baht, which maybe he could afford. Also, in the UK the flight attendant can sue the man for injury and loss of income.

Ganja

Many years ago, before it was illegal to use in the United States, the U.S. Army did a study of marijuana use and its affects on the user.

The U.S. Army found that the worst effect that marijuana had on the user was, it made them hungry and pacified them!

A few million baht? A thug like that wouldn't have it.

He's going to have to do time for this escapade, I suppose he'll be all apologetic when the drugs wear off but I doubt that will impress the judge, endangering a flight is a very serious offence and then there is the GBH offence as well.

Yeah the usual 'you can't punish me, that's not fair, I was drunk.'

Before being allowed to board any commercial aircraft, all would be passengers should be required to submit a registered IQ identification card. No boarding for anyone with less than a 100 IQ. That will stop just about 95 percent of these type incidents.

airlines would lose a lot of american business

If he was on weed he would be happy and calm

You must mean 'not enough ganja', right? From a 2016 paper: "It is concluded that alcohol facilitates feelings of aggression whereas cannabis diminishes aggressive feelings in heavy alcohol and regular cannabis users, respectively."

Not all of the time.  A woman got probation after stabbing someone over 100 killing him due to a cannabis induced psychosis.

The 35 year old unnamed British man went berserk only minutes after the flight from the Thai capital took off on February 7 and proceeded to smash up the aircraft’s toilet.

Well he won't be flying anywhere again soon...

It was a good clean punch, but totally unfair and uncalled for.

Two fellow passengers appear to be helping, but Bill & Ben and some others were just watching, while being in the way!

Would you still qualify to fly if they applied that test to you?

😁

What's with all the Brits in the news lately in Thailand? Settle down blokes. If you can be in Thailand or travel there ... life is good! When you'e back home then you can resume your dreary demeanor.

These days the last place in the world you want to lose your cool, in on a commercial aircraft. In the US he would be locked up for years. Here, who knows? Likely depends on how much spare cash he has. Unless he is charged at the destination. It is likely the Brits do not fool around with idiots like this guy, and will lock him up. Good result.

Yes. He will have been arrested on arrival in the UK and the full force of the law applied to him. He will almost certainly serve jail time for this. Evidence overwhelming. He should also be banned from all airlines for life. As well as never entering Thailand again, if he could find another way to get here. No place or excuse for this behaviour.

Generally, flying THAI Airways is chilled and relaxed. I've never seen any agression on their flights over the many years travelling this route. Only once, was there a small commotion when one laughing boy, totally <deleted>faced, went stumbling around the cabin. He wasn't a danger really, they cleared 3 seats, and let him sleep it off. He was still fast asleep when everyone disembarked at Bangkok.

Ever seen one on Thai Airways or Singapore Airlines?

Not sure because they dress in civilian clothes . However I did sit next to an air marshal on an Egypt flight . He made several walks around the aircraft . We had a conversation and he then explained why he was on the move a lot . Big guy and armed .

How far into the flight were they?  Wonder why they didn't?

Perhaps because it always messes up others connections, and perhaps they are used to dealing with football hooligan trash on their holidays..........🥴

The captain should have returned the aircraft to Bangkok and the guy would have been arrested there.

It's very expensive and disrupts hundreds of passengers. If he can be restrained and subdued continue to the destination. This sort of incident is rightly considered very serious by UK authorities and he can expect to do some time and be banned by a host of airlines. Scum.
