The study I cited earlier from the CATO institute has been updated. Here is a summary of the most important findings

"According to Nowrasteh's findings from 2012 to 2022, undocumented immigrants have a homicide conviction rate 14% below that of native-born Americans...

Most of the data on crime and immigration status in the U.S. comes from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the only agency that keeps such detailed records. Texas has the nation's second-highest population of undocumented immigrants after California, Nowrahsteh said, adding that he believes national data would be similar."

And here is a link to the study itself.

Lots of interesting data there.

International Law?  From the UN? Do all countries abide by UN "Laws"?

No, not from the UN. Basically from treaties.

"Treaties are primary sources of international law. Conventional international law is based on consent of state parties and as such treaties applies only between those consenting parties. In determining treaty application, check to see which state parties have both signed and ratified the treaties"

Congratulating someone on the aptness of name that was obviously meant as a joke would be irrelevant even if it were meant as a compliment.

I have offered data to you. In return you offer rants. Yours is the disingenuousness of a child. Grow up.

But I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up.

First a claim by a Fox talking head, then another anecdote, then a rant from an ambitious Republican governor.

Still haven't figured out what credible source is, have you?

Treaties are like contacts.

What's this got to do with the topic of this thread which is:

The economy is roaring. Immigration is a key reason.

Immigration is the key word.  The American people have been paying for his time in America so yes it affects the economy as in higher taxes so Biden can continue the free medical, housing and topping off their debit cards.

I realize my post upset a liberal but try to get over it.

Of course you are free to post wherever you want but are you American?

If not, perhaps you can offer your advice on your country’s issues.  I’m sure they will appreciate it.

I guess if you have trouble dealing with issues consisting of more than one word, your comment would make sense. At least, to you. For those of us who understand issues that are defined by more than one word, your comment makes no sense at all.

Immigration has propelled the U.S. job market further than just about anyone expected, helping cement the country’s economic rebound from the pandemic as the most robust in the world.

That momentum picked up aggressively over the past year. About 50 percent of the labor market’s extraordinary recent growth came from foreign-born workers between January 2023 and January 2024, according to an Economic Policy Institute analysis of federal data.

Lol. What an outright lie. Roaring!

Enter Biden online cheerleading, disinformation squad stage left.

Legal immigration isn't any higher than years past that I'm aware of. No DCF anymore...we wait 18-24 mos.

Roaring... another laff
